Aftercare: Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser
- After eyebrow tattoo removal, the brow hairs may turn white and, rarely, the area around the eyes may swell. The hairs return to their natural dark color in about two weeks.
- Slight bleeding at the site is possible. We'll cover it with gauze, which you can remove as soon as you get home. Then apply the prescribed ointment 2–3 times a day.
- Scabs may form and usually fall off within 1–2 weeks. Letting them come off naturally helps the skin heal and reduces the risk of pigmentation.
- The area may become itchy and red. This is an allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment breaking down; if it's severe, you may need to come in.
- Even with careful aftercare, tattoos with dense pigment often form large blisters. If a blister is under 2 cm, leave it to reabsorb on its own. If it's 2 cm or larger, please come in.
- Don't scratch or touch the area, and apply the ointment carefully as directed.
- Always wear sunscreen when you go out.
- Keep the area dry for 24 hours. For about a week, avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas, and swimming pools.
- The tattoo doesn't disappear right away — it fades gradually over 2–3 months. Pigment sits at different depths, so one session is rarely enough; multiple sessions are recommended, usually 4–6 weeks apart.
