Aftercare: Skin Boosters & Contouring Injections
Injectables
- Small bumps at the injection points are normal and disappear within a few days.
- Swelling and bruising can occur right after treatment. Swelling goes down within 8–24 hours; bruising can last 1–2 weeks depending on the person.
- Bruising, swelling, itching, redness, warmth, or an inflammatory reaction to a specific allergy can occur and settle within a few days. If symptoms haven't improved after a week, contact us and we'll advise you promptly.
- If you were very tense during the procedure, you may feel dizzy, chilled, or nauseous for 1–2 hours afterwards.
- You can wash your face and wear light makeup after 1–2 hours, but waiting until the next day is better. Don't rub or pat your face firmly. Use only a gentle foam cleanser, and skip scrubs and exfoliants for about two weeks.
- For 1–2 weeks, avoid gua sha or firm facial massage, strenuous exercise, alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, and swimming pools. Raising your skin temperature can trigger inflammation.
- Depending on the product, we recommend 3–5 or more sessions at 2–4 week intervals. How long results last depends on you and how many sessions you've had.
- Drink plenty of water — it helps the results.
- Regular meals and exercise boost lymphatic and blood circulation, which adds to the effect. Contouring injections work especially well alongside a diet and exercise plan.
