Aftercare: Pigment Laser
Laser
- Some redness on the face is normal and usually settles within 1–3 days.
- After a stronger treatment, you may notice scabbing or the pigmented spots looking temporarily darker. This is part of the normal healing process; the scabs typically fall off within 1–2 weeks and the area gradually lightens.
- To get the best results and prevent new pigmentation, apply sunscreen carefully whenever you go out — including on cloudy days and indoors.
- Your skin may feel dry. Drink plenty of water and keep the area well moisturized with a moisturizer or repair cream.
- You can wash your face and shower as usual. Avoid rubbing your face; instead, splash water gently over it. Pat the treated area dry. If there are scabs, don't rub them with a towel or pick them off.
- Makeup is fine as usual. For one week, avoid active skincare products containing fragrance or alcohol.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 2–3 days, and skip exfoliation or peels for about a week.
- A single session rarely clears every spot. To reach the result you want, repeat treatments are needed, usually at 1–2 week intervals.

the treated area becomes painful, increasingly red, swollen, or develops pus — these may be signs of infection.
