Aftercare: Dermal Fillers
Injectables
- Right after treatment, the injection sites may be slightly swollen, red, or tender. This is normal and usually settles within hours, though it can occasionally last a few days.
- You may feel a foreign-body sensation or some unevenness. This improves with time; if it bothers you, come in and we'll mold the area.
- Bruising at the injection sites is possible and usually clears within 1–2 weeks (this varies).
- You can wash your face and wear light makeup 2 hours after treatment, but waiting until the next day is better. Don't rub or pat your face firmly. Use only a gentle foam cleanser, and skip scrubs and exfoliants for about a week.
- If we applied a healing dressing, remove it after 24 hours.
- Pressing or handling the area can worsen swelling and inflammation and change the shape of the result. Avoid firm pressure, hot compresses, gua sha, and other strong stimulation for about two weeks.
- After nose filler, avoid wearing glasses where possible.
- For about a week, avoid very hot environments such as saunas and jjimjilbang, as well as strenuous exercise, alcohol, and smoking. Raising your skin temperature increases the risk of inflammation.
- You may be prescribed antibiotics. Please take them as directed to prevent infection. If you have an allergic reaction after taking them — dizziness, difficulty breathing, or hives over the body — go to an emergency room.
- Results typically last 6–12 months, depending on the person. Any further treatment is recommended after at least one month.
Contact us and come in immediately if
bruising or pain persists or gets worse, blisters form, or the skin turns purple or dusky.
